  • “Maybe I need to be more awkward.”
  • “Am I being funny enough?”
  • “Maybe casting wants Andy more confident.”
  • “Should I pause before the important line?”
  • “That take didn't feel like I did enough.”

Prepping

  • Where have I just come from? 
  • What do I want? I need a job.
  • Who is Miranda to me? An intimidating woman who has the power to give me one.
  • What's the obstacle? She clearly thinks I don't belong here.
  • What's at stake? My career and my belief that I'm actually capable of something.
  • What's changing? I begin trying to impress her. When that fails, I stop pretending and fight for myself.
