NETFLIX had a request for the parents of My Life With the Walter Boys actors Alisha Newton and Connor Stanhope. They wanted photos of them in my classes.  

I hadn't taught young actors in a while and that small request sent me straight down memory lane. And that's why we created these professional acting classes for Kids

ACTING FOR KIDS

In this class young actors not only learn how to act... they learn how to book those life changing roles. Ensemble casts are common for kids with shows like Harry Potter, The Sandlot, Goonies, Cheaper By The Dozen...

This term, your child will master powerful skills that help them stay natural, truthful, and fully present on camera.

Actors don’t work alone. They have to listen, respond, and focus when the camera’s on them. That’s where the magic lives.

In this class, kids will:

✨ Master Powerful Audition Techniques

✨ Build Bold Ensemble Skills

✨ Inspire Through Creative Choices

✨ Strengthen Listening & Responding Muscles

✨ Become a Focused, Fearless ACTOR 

Multiple perspectives: Stories that focus on a group rather than just one hero.

  • Defined characters: Even minor roles have individual personalities.
  • Themes: Friendship, identity, family, and adventure are common. 

We love teaching kids, it’s beautiful to see them come alive in acting class.

And to see them have long careers like my students have is unbelievably rewarding!

Getting the note from Netflix made me think of a message I got from Carrie Hoskins thanking me for helping her daughter.

She said her daughter had learned to set goals with me and had achieved every one of them, including her “bucket list” goal of working with someone from Harry Potter. 

BONUS! When she worked with Rupert Grint she also got to work with 3 time Oscar - winning director Guillermo Del Toro. Not a bad gig. 

The wonderful thing about kids imaginations is… they work so well.  

Kids won’t just “perform.” They’ll level up as actors. It's fun. It’s powerful. It’s about learning how actors really work. And it’s going to inspire every young actor to shine.

That’s why when we ask them to create future goals their fabulous flexible brains say, “Oh this is possible.” 

And then when the opportunity arises…it feels like the natural progression of their plans and they book. 

That’s what I designed these classes to do: ignite imagination, build skill, and help young actors grow into confident performers with the courage to believe in their dreams.
